Buying First MIDI Keyboard, Suggestions?

Heyo,

I'm looking into buying my first "real" MIDI keyboard. This will most likely be used to play my Proteus 2K and to trigger samples from my MPC. Ultimately, I'd like to be able to leave the keyboard plugged into a MIDI IN A on the MPC so I can trigger samples, then ALSO be able to play the Proteus without unhooking stuff.

Any suggestions on a 3-4 octave MIDI keyboard that pairs well with the 1K?
I do not need anything fancy, no drum pads or anything like that. Just some keys and mod/pitch wheels! Very standard.

Alesis Q49 is great for the price . Keyboard action is better than most low budget midi controllers and it has MIDI & USB .

You can use one mpc midi output as a midi through and put your Proteus at the end of the midi chain.

Novation has some good ones for low dough. You get transport control some buttons to fire of one shots and trigger loops. I think the Launchkey is like $200, good features for the price.

Launchkey is not midi , but it's looking good though....

Yeah no 5 pin sockets is a bummer, but it's class compliant/no drivers if you use iOS stuff which is dope. And the two free Novation apps are pretty nice actually.
