They're simply corny marketing not a racially motivated conspiracy.

Let the conscious blacks answer if racism and racial stereotypes/imagery are "conspiracy" or fact.

Worse part of it all is not that they were black, dancing around or anything of that sort.
The real issue was that they were somewhat outdated producers, great mind you but in a past era.
Very questionable what they could bring to the table in a product designed to take your company in a new direction.
I could see going back to them to design a retro hardware MPC to offer the past to new customers but not for a new direction product.
Now as if that wasn't funny enough, NI went after many of those same producers with the Studio.
Seems they figured that would look good to see them now supporting the Studio or get the attention of the Ren market?
Bad marketing seems to be what the world expects and companies go out there way to deliver.

Stop rushing your products and create a solid blue print Akai

Well NI normally has a more even mentality but the Studio release is definitely them doing, for lack of better term "ghetto marketing".
They are going after the Urban American market aggressively, maybe because that has always been a strong MPC market.
From where I stand Maschine is still a long way off from replacing any of my MPCs, Ren included.
V2 brought a lot of nothing to the table since the sequencer still is the fail point for me.
The Studio is more about bling, bling than functionality on so many levels, so it doesn't really address the problems with Maschine.
Akai just needs to put their focus on debugging and stability then go with the feature set.
Maybe Akai needs to setup a better method of bug reporting for registered users?
" well the pro's have no answers and are ignoring the post. its a fiasco over there
