hey what about a lil competition ?
there is nothing to win but knowledge..

i post a kit with a few lame 808 samples some vinyl noise some noise a sine a saw and a pulse waveform.

the competion is creating KITS out of this LAME and boring samples.

so strecht them resample some abuse them and do what ever you want with them but you have to use this samples it is not allowed to ad samples..only if you resample them !!

all kits must be based on this samples ...and if you post a kit with effects make sure to use the akai internal effects. if your using a lexicon reverb for example on a sample resample it to keep the kit compatible for all useres

it doesn t matter if the kits are dance experimental or glitch or hip hop..

so lets be creative and share knowledge!!

i ll start with a first mADE KIT:

i have resampled the 808 kit with the d16 Decimort 3 times with the vinyl noise behinde.

the i have sliced them all and layerd them...some sampled sounds very different so some have a velocity mode and some are a bit panned...
the wavefroms are looped and have a filter on it to use them in 16 mode tune as a synth.
the kit is a bit experimental..

the sanre has been strechted a lot and layerd with noise

i trimmed the clap a bit and now it sounds like a stick

the noise on A7 is a streched hh and resampled
a9 is justnoise

the saw has a lfo filter

the opern hh has been reversed

I don't even use any of the new software, but d16 Decimort is the move for touching up in the box samples. I add PSP Vintage Warmer 2 or Cytomic's the Glue compressor after Decimort in my signal chains. I need to start re-sampling it all through my Mackie mixer too.
