Installing Aksys on Mac

Hello.

I recently purchased an MPC 4000. Really happy with the tracks I've been making on it. I have virtual box running 10.5.1. I tried to install the aksys software (aksysosx.dmg) but when I restart I didn't see it listed in the application folder. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for your help.

Have you tried running AkSys from the disk image, or dragging the AkSys application from the disk image to your Applications folder?

I think that the install program that is on the disk image only installs the driver, it does not copy the application to the Applications folder.

Thank you Sir. I have it installed now. I started up the software and now I just get a blank screen. I have the 4000 connected via usb. Is there anything else I need to install? Software, Drivers?

Ok. I got it working. Had to to do an extra step since I'm running this on VirtualBox. I had to make sure the USB device for the 4000 was checked under the device menu. And now the 4000 appears on the browser.

All good now.
