2000xl gets off beat

Hi! Ever since i bought my 2000xl, around 3 months ago, whenever i record a beat from the 2000xl to my daw it ends up getting off synced/off beat after a couple of verses. If i play the metronome in Logic, with the same bpm and all, at first its cool, but in like the second verse, it's get more off beat as it goes. For example if i'll do a remix with an acapella, the first verse will match, bate later as it goes, it will be off.

Tried googling it, but didnt get any results. anyone with the same problem, or someone who know how to fix it?

Use a MIDI connection between the MPC and the computer, with either MIDI Beat Clock (MIDI Clock), to sync the tempo of the two sequencers, or MIDI Time Code (MTC), to sync the timebase of the two sequencers.

Or, record the MPC into Logic, use the recorded MPC beats, if you can select an exact number of bars/beats once it is within Logic, and set the Logic tempo exactly using some sort of selected bars/beats to tempo function. Not sure off the top of my head what that function would be in Logic, but I am sure there is something to do it.

alright. That seems to be the solution. Thanks. One question though hehe.. I only have 2 midi cables, and one is already connected from my mpc to my s900. Do i need 2 to sync the mpc to the daw? or could i do it with just one?

You only need one MIDI cable/connection, to send the sync from one device (the master) to the other (the slave), it doesn't have to be both ways.

Not sure with Logic and an MPC which is best to be the master, and which the slave, and which sync format gives the best/tightest sync.

Really weird. Dont get it to work. Mpc is set to sync in: midi clock - recieve mmc: on. the cable goes from my interface OUT > mpc IN. Everything is set in logic. I know i've done this before, but i cant get it to work right now

got it to work. But this is why i stopped using midi sync in the first place - i get delay. When i play it from the mpc and put the logic metronom on, its off.

Now its on beat. and everything is fine, except for when i'm actually recording. I get this frying sound. Like a alot of tiny clicks sparkling. or something

Not sure on Logic X, but Logic 9 can't be a MIDI slave.
