I've been trying to find an easier way to create programs on the 4000 other than with Aksys. I found a program that works really good. Some of you vets probably already know about this so this is for the rest of us. Even though this program creates 2000XL programs they still work on the 4000. I was able to create a ton of my favorite drums kits very fast. Check it out.

IIRC, the maker of this app is a member HERE.

Nice little app! Absolute must have for a 2kXL owner! I found it to be useful during the time I couldn't get my head wrapped around Ak.sys.

But for the 4k I didn't like that sometimes it just would not play nice with some of the programs created. In its defense, I was using a much older version and some of it was user error.

As far a making drum programs, strangely enough, the only one I use now is the Ak.sys Pad Editor.

Nuce! I had a try yesterday and I prefer browsing sounds on the computer instead of doing it through the mpc.. This way you can just load up your program and save a lot of time.

Akp's from later machines might not be read by 4k. All akp's aren't the same.
