I'm holding out for the 4+ but after watching that video I don't know. The 2+ is dope and I could definitely use it but damn I really want usb hosting and that extra usb port. No ETA on the 4+ either. Anyone here have the 2+?

i love plug ins and aps in todays world but damn it , they are all so fiddly. Currently i make a lot on my laptop in Ableton and various plug ins, then tranfer to my MPC. The MPC is still number one for me as i grab my MPC1000 and head out the door to a gig ALL I NEED! No special adaptors, hardware, laptop, i pad, leads/cords etc. Ahhhhh i feel free!

Just bought on sale Thanksgiving sale Animoog for $4.99. I'll put it through some paces in the next coming week. I hear nothing but good things about it.

I paid a grand total of $1.89 for both, and always felt bad for those who missed the introductory price. Because $29.99 is like a whole another level.
It's got some cool stuff when you use the touch keys, and it really opens up with a keyboard, or even pads with poly after touch like an MPD32. I think the waves do a nice job of sounding like Moog wavs, at least as much as any VST emus.
You'll go off putting in Audiobus chains for sure. Check out Echo box and Sugar Bytes stuff if you need a multi FX app.

Cool man. Glad you didn't sleep on that deal. I bought the Minimoog Model D Expansion that came out when the sale went on, even though it wasn't on sale. Plus I got 6 more Expansions over the past year and a half (all of which add a lot of new timbres). I'll have the rest soon. All those in-app purchases were worth the money, whether I bought them on sale or not.
Did you buy Filtatron?

I'm still on the iPod Touch and an iPhone 4s. But when I get an iPad, it might be hard for me to wait for a sale. But for the price of an iPad, more analog gear calls my name instead. The iPhone is good, even though I really would enjoy all of my apps a hell of a lot better on a larger surface.

Free? Nice! Now that it's Audiobus compatible, things get more interesting. I still haven't spent any time with Audiobus since I bought it. Been too caught up in using my apps standalone with the MPC via iRig MIDI. The effects included with most synth apps are really good. But if I spent more time with Audiobus, I know I'll come up with something even better.

Yep, got it when it was first released! I got all he major synths as soon as they were released like Nave, Thor, iSEM, etc. Its like an addiction:)

Audiobus 2: Multiple Audio Pipelines, Unlimited Routing
A year after the launch of original Audiobus inter-app audio routing system for iOS audio applications, the team behind the program has announced the details on a new version coming in 2014. The update will be focused on removing limitations and making the app more useful for performers who need expanded, reliable feature set.

saving presets of connection setups (and sharing them via email / social media)

For this video I loaded some audio loops [...] from one of my songs into Loopy so I could remix them live using my own apps Echo Pad and Swoopster, plus the AUFX apps, with the loops routed through separate effect chains in Audiobus.
For that song I actually had 3 separate Loopy tracks as Inputs for one of the effect chains so I could process those 3 loops through Echo Pad, another single loop through Swoopster, another one through AUFX:Dub into AUFX:Space, plus one or two dry loops running on another chain. What you hear in the video is the actual live mix recorded straight from the iPad mini headphone output into my Apogee ONE which was connected to my iPhone, which captured the video as well.
Worth noting is that (for now) Audiobus is continuing to develop their own system independent of Apple’s own InterApp Audio, which allows simple routing of audio between apps. We’re guessing that IAA might be a bit too limiting to achieve some of the complex routing that Audiobus delivers.
