the note on function, need help

I have a problem with the the note on function. I loaded a sample under all 16 pads, but when I start pounding on them they don't mute.

example: I press pad 1 and emmidiately after that pad 2, but when I pressed pad 2, I can hear pad 1 also. So what I want is that as soon as I press pad 2, that pad 1 is muted. so that the sample parts don't play through eachother.

I heard this is possible in the mpc 2000. Maybe I need a software update??

any thoughts?

in program, kgmix, pitch page,
you'll find on the right side: mute groups,
change it from off to a number,
all pads asssign to the same number (same mute group) will turn eachother off

no problm.. and just btw if u need all sounds in the same program to be in the same mute group or use the same filter, lfo or whatever, there's a way of speeding things up,

in kgmix edit1 and edit2 there's a section labeled:ONE if you switch it from ONE to ALL, all edits you make to that program (expet for the sample assingments) are applied to all the pads in that program..

so say I have just made a Program from a sliced up Hihat sample 32 regions
instead of going per each pad 32times and setting up a mute group, a HP filter and shorter decay on each pad, just select ALL and do it once !!!
