SCSI zip issue

i have an internal SCSI zip drive installed in my 2000XL. its set as SCSI device 1. everytime i turn on the MPC, it says "SCSI NOT READY!" when I dont have a disk in there. when I do have a disk in there, whether it has data on it or not, it doesnt say this. this isn't a problem, but its kinda annoying. anyway I can get around this? thanks

oh yea, it also says something similar wen I change devices to the floppy, becuase there is no floppy drive in there. any way i can tell the MPC to stop looking for the floppy? thanks

No apparently not - using the interal SCSI does not disable the floppy connection

I have got an internal ATAPI Zip 250 and it says that all the time. I think it is just a warning message because the MPC can't see a thing in the device in question, be it SCSI or IDE.

Strange - I have an internal IDE and the option for Floppy completely disappeared after install and was replaced by ATAPI

The `problem` is that there is a setting to automatically load from a certain SCSI ID, floppy/ATAPI, or OFF upon startup. If a drive is not there, the MPC complains.
