This is a really cool new app. recently ported from the Android platform:

Caustic is pretty dope. I got it on my Android phone. It's like reason on Android... It ain't no beatmaker2 but shits dope!!

lets not forget caustic is on android too, and it has been for a while.. i can't see getting another iOS device, they are cheaply made and expensive, in gonna stick with android, and am thinking about a android tab, but not really, maybe that way before a iOS

im using more and more the ipad as a sound module in conjunction with my mpc 1000 jjos (very good portable combo).

Im looking for the best time-stretch/pitch-shift app out there, something like ableton, with specific algorithms (breaks, Music Phrases, etc..).

Any suggestion?

Can't say I've seen an app that has the same time stretch quality as Ableton or Izotope's algorithms, but Samplr is awesome as an all around creative sampling app. It takes major cues from the OP-1 in both design and function. Really worth the $9.99USD.

But yeah somebody could be getting $49.99 easy on an app that matched the quality of Live's time stretch implemented in the same way as you mentioned. I use Beatmaker 2 sometimes to just chop to folders, and I could see a dedicated time stretching/pitch shifting app being the same nice break from doing that work on the desktop.

i think im gonna buy it.

im quite happy with beatmaker for breaks and percussive material but i was looking for some dedicated stuff.

i heard auria got diract3 timestretch algorithm, i may investigate more on it cause that app seems awesome.

just the price, i mean i dont know if i can justify 50 euro for an ipad app...

I've been the same on Auria. People I know that bought it love it, but I had to gauge it against my actual usage. When I was in school two years ago I was using the iPad a whole lot more. I mostly do small bounces of loops, a little sound module action with an Alesis dock and just have fun on the couch.

And Live Control 2 is free for registered Lemur users if you use Ableton. It's really good. I believe a Push emulation is currently in the registered user library as well. I know for certain a clever user made one at the very least. (I think it was CDM I saw it on)

today i bought the elctribe as well (50% off) and i already got the genome sequencer and touch osc which i use in conjunction with ableton live 9.
