Did anyone buy the mpc 4k and go back to the mpc 60?

Did anyone buy the mpc 4k and go back to the mpc 60 or know anyone who has? If so can u pm, post their email, or send them this link and asks them to respond. ^_^
I don't have the money for either. I read the mpc 60 o/s 3.1 manual. I liked it a lot.

I am reading the mpc 4k pdf reference manual from akai pro.

If you went back to the mpc 60 after purchasing an mpc 4000 did you do so because you didn't read the manual and found the mpc 4000 to not have anything that the mpc 60 already had?

if this seems way to similar to my other "frivolous uses of the mpc 4k post" just trying to look for former mpc 4k to born again mpc 60 users.

does the mpc 60 have anything that the mpc 4k doesn't or did not include?

a 12 bit sampler

I will have sworn I read on a harmoney central site synthtopia zzsounds review. basically i read a lot of reviews of the akai mpc 4k. I will paraphrase what I read from one of the reviews "the akai mpc 4k can play back samples at 12, 16, and 24 bit"

I'm having trouble finding this quote on the net. Am i incorrect in that the akai mpc 4000 cannot play back samples in 12 bit? If the mpc 4k can play back 12 bit samples is the Hz sampling rate different then the mpc 60? How much crummier does 12 bit on the mpc 4k sound compared to mpc 60 12 bit?

I have a definite problem w/ the mpc 4k not being able to play 12 bit mpc 60 12 bit.

does the mpc 60 12 bit sampler have any unique sounding characteristics compared to other 12 bit samplers?

I have both and the difference ain't that big. It's a bit easier to get punchier drums on the 60 for sure, not as much need to layer stuff etc. But I'm not sure if that alone would be worth not having all the features of the 4K. It's a more flexible machine.

what types of drums have more punch in 12 bit? Is it the drums which aren't short bursted waveforms? Not symbal, and rumbling snare?

i do like the tempo change part of the 4k o/s and the layering ability. but is all this worth the trade off for my important punchy drums?

Kicks and snares of a shorter type sound better (in my view) on the MPC60, more bottom end and as I said I don't have to make layers and stuff to make the drums sound punchy.. Cymbals sound terrible on it though, no matter what I do.

And no, it's not worth it to me. But nevertheless, I enjoy using both.

And re. 12 bit samples on the 4k, yeah you can resample sounds to 12 bit and use them as regular samples. But you can't sample in 12 bits directly.
