Exchange tips and tricks for the Akai MPC4000

I was wondering if there was a way to save customized midi note assignments on the mpc4000?

I have an integra and a motif rack, and I'd like to save drum mappings for them, but im kind of specific about what drums go on what pads. I've just been saving kits inside the machines, but that seems silly if I can just save a custom map.

I know how to change the midi notes per pad and all that. Just not sure how to save it. Thanks.

Set everything up exactly how you want it, then create a folder called 'autoload' on the root directory of your hard drive and save the entire memory to it.

When you power on the 4K all the assigned midi notes should be correct. 8)

Edit: Forgot to add, ensure Autoload is 'on' in the Global menu.

Saved in program.

Ok word. That took me a minute, I've been changing the pad assignments in a different way.

Thanks, sorry for being dumb.

From what you mention, there's no Programs involved. You're right. It's all Multi assignments that can be auto loaded so you can 'set and forget'.
