MPC Element Software Problem!

Hello,
I have a big problem...
For Christmas I got an MPC Element...

I registred my serialnumber and downloaded the Software 1.5.1...
Now I try to install this software on my MacbookPro but there appears an "error"...

I dont't understand where the mistake could be...

I would guess that you are running Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks), and MPC Essentials does not support it as yet.

You probably have to wait for the next MPC Essentials update (if it includes Mavericks support), which was due a couple of days ago, but it has been delayed.

The MPC Software has not been cleared/updated for official OS X 10.9 support. We recommend using OS X 10.6-10.8 with the MPC Software and 10.7-10.8 using Essentials. I do not have a release date to offer for updates. The software will grab any driver update download upon launching the software with the internet on.

It seems that MPC Essentials 1.5 supported OS X 10.6, but that support was dropped in the MPC Essentials 1.5.1 update.

If you get onto the Akai community support forum, in this thread, and ask J Sandeen to send the MPC Essentials 1.5 installer to your email address, then that should work with your Mac OS X 10.6.8...

The new revision of the software was just uploaded which no longer supports 10.6. This was a very recent change that is in the process of being reflected on the website. In general, the MPC Software or Essentials will no longer be tested on 10.6. You will see the site reflect this in the coming 24hours.

If you do post in that thread, to request that Akai send you the MPC Essentials 1.5 installer, don't expect an immediate answer from Akai support, they are probably closed now until the new year.

Might be quicker to email some of the other users in that thread, who have already received the 1.5 installer from Akai, to see if they can forward it on to you.
