Renoise 3

IF you used trackers before you probably like this... I like it because it has a similar function to reaper in that parameters(from effects) can be modulated from audio signals.. Highly customisble, someone on there forums made a mpc type layer so it worked very similar to a mpc..(all controls buttons etc are midi learnable)

Checked this out today, and ended up purchasing version 3.

Thinking, atm, about ReWiring to Reaper and using Renoise as an (extremely full-featured) sampler.

Made a couple of loops solely with Renoise though, and the DSP effects are pretty cool.

YEah, It's actually a more complex sampler sequencer mixer than the mpc software...

From time to time i check back there. I use it to muck about when flying. And for a little while dabbled in linux...
Redux interests me(i gather it's the sampler with basic patter sequencer plugin).. Renoise is all the things missing from reaper...

Some of the tools you can add to it are quite helpful.

Tap tempo tool is one that I've found pretty good so far. The delay lane in the edit page is great for adding swing to drums too.

This guy (https://soundcloud.com/perquisite) composes his stuff in Renoise, and is quite popular in Holland, making jazzy, soulful hip-hop.

And totally agree regarding the Reaper comment. ReaSamplomatic just doesn't cut it. I t's good for certain things, but have you ever looked into trying to get it to choke notes? Pain in the arse. You can do that with one mouse click in Renoise, not to mention chop it up in one instrument slot, and not have to load multiple instances of the plugin.

for under 200 reaper and renoise is a pretty good investment though... They would work really really well together..

I downloaded the demo a week ago, truly digging it a lot! Reminds me of 96 when I made tons of beats on a Atari Falcon using tracker. It's where I started, before the falcon I was on St and Ste.

The demo itselfs offers a lot, even save function is able.

Exporting waves and asio is restricted in demo mode.

Planing to get a license soon.

And today I learned the side chain compression function, using renoise's Signal Follower.

A darn good piece of software! And It's sounds very good too!

Redux has a video up at renoise.com; looks handy for those wanting a dope sampler/tracker for use within current DAW.

A redux/reaper combo would be great
