I wish there was a export waves from the mpc4000 so you can export your traxs into your daw instead of tracking everything out through the mixer, I think you can do it on the 5000, anyone know if there is anyone that is comming close to be able to upgrade operating system, I know there was talk about it a while ago

You can record the MPC4000 Main Outputs (or the ADAT outputs if you have the ADAT option) as a new sample, then transfer that to the computer.

MPC500/1000/2500 allow the Main Outputs to be recorded, MPC5000 adds the assignable outputs. Not sure what changes with that in JJOS for 1000/2500.

It's not happening for the 4K. If you've got a USB or Firewire mixer/interface coupled with the 8 output board, or the ADAT option, then it's pretty painless.

I'm in-between the two at the minute - got the ADAT board but ditched my old interface with ADAT, now I've got a Firewire mixer but no 8 outputs - so it's a 1 track at a time deal. It's not the best but I just get on with it.
