MAC OS X with Studio/REN Software

I'm getting an older mac laptop.

Just curious if it works with the Studio/ren software

It's OS X 10.6.8

Minimum Computer specs:

Mac: 2 GB RAM (4 GB recommended) Mac OS X 10.7 - 10.8 with DVD–ROM drive

Even if you might be able to get it to work, not sure it is a good idea, in terms of being compatible with future MPC Software updates, if they are not going to be developed to support that OS.

I am probably going to get it anyway. for 80 bucks it should be a good mobile recording studio for my trip to Portland. I can use my Presonus interface with it.

I have a good desktop and a Win 8 laptop for when I get the Studio/Ren if I do.

Might be able to run the software, even if it doesn't meet the minimum specs, not really sure.

I just wouldn't count on it as a main computer to run MPC Software.

if it runs 10.6.8 snow leopard it should run 10.7 lion you can upgrade ,apple still sell it u just need to phone them and they send you an email with a download link

It should have 2 GB RAM at least or it won't be able to run OSX 10.7 Lion.

I'm running version 1.5 on my MAC Pro with OS X 10.6.8.

Runs great and very stable.

However, future updates will be a concern as more companies drop 10.6.8 support.

I'm on 10.6.8 as well on both my Macs, and I don't plan on upgrading OS's until I get a new computer, so I'm hoping Akai keeps supporting 10.6 a while longer. It's listed on their site as the current minimum specs, and I hope it stays that way until 2.0.
