DRUM KITS ANYONE? | UPDATED: 2/8/14 DRUMKIT TRADING ANYONE?

i'm trying to find one those really nice vintage/vinyl/boombap sounding drum kits for my new mpc 2500, like i've literally been looking everywhere but everything i find sounds really weak and im not sure if i should trust some of these sites as i have a strong feeling the sounds in those kits are just taken from other free kits and all of the demos are really bad and I don't really have the time in between school to be digging for and chopping a bunch of breakbeats.

If you have any recommendations of kits feel free to post or if you have any you will be willing to share with a young producer like I you can pm me. thanks

UPDATED 2/8/14: I actually got a whole bunch (a complete ass load) of professional drum kits like the XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX and basically a whole bunch of stuff you would have to pay for anywhere else ......

What you wanna do is chop up some breaks...

The drums in any song you hear won't come like that, in a pack (unless the producer is lazy), they woulda processed the drum sounds to create that grit/snap or whatever you're after.

There are links to breaks all over the boards. Do a search on free samples or something similar.

vinyl is about as raw as it gets the link i gave has got just that, vinyl hits, plus breaks you could chop yourself. What else could you want? they are free, you might want to download em all and see what works for you.

I would suggest chopping up different drum breaks from various genres, then mix them up while playing around with laying and effects and see what works for you. You can create some ill drums that way

Yes, do all of the above suggestions, Lamp's mention of layering is a big one. And the MPC ready drums sold on this site are all excellent.
