def wish it had more knobs. I bet this thing is gonna have a ton of menu diving. the p8 had something like 52 knobs on the desktop module.

speaking of the P8. I wonder if it will drop in price now that they have this. although they are really different pieces. they sit pretty close in price I believe.

in the us the p8 is 1,549 and the p12 is listed at 2,099. the p8 module also comes with garbage knobs and the pot upgrade is 250 . that puts the p8 at 1,800. for another 300 you can get the 61 key p8 pe edition with the pot knobs.

yeah im afraid it may suffer from knob inferiority complex like the desktop Mopho. great box but a pain to program.

I think the keyboard could have been designed to be more pleasing to the eye. The rack is uglier than a mahfucca. It looks cheap also.

Whoever designed the Tempest has a bit more taste.

No that much menu diving lt s like the lil phatty... Every section has it s own button you press on it and the rest do the knobs over the oled. The NEW KNOBS are really solid...I ve already played with the keyboard version and it's estupendo!!

We'll the price is a bit too much for me...

...wanna... Have....

But I guess for many folks it s not gonna be analog enough

I'm ordering the prophet 12 keyboard on Saturday. I really wanted a desktop synth but I can't handle the non existent knobs on the p12 module. was leaning towards the p8 but with the knob upgrade on that I might as well grab the p12 keys

Hahahaha only if you guys bring the beer! she came yest, it's a beautiful keyboard. the knobs are to knock and solid. the oled is beautiful and very clean looking. I dig the color combination with the wood sides too.

I turned her on and this thing begs you to play it with all the knobs. turned off the lights and it looks means with all the red lights.

I had the kids in bed so I could only use my akg headphones but I gotta say, the sound is mean. I had the analog 4 and I like the sound of the p12 more. even with the digital oscillators. the touch strips are a really cool feature. it's be really cool for live pay, route the modulation to one and lpf to another and youd have some cool options. I can't wait to use the push melodic step sequencer with this thing.

another thing I like about it is ease of use. it's so easy to program, super easy to split the keyboard, easy to layer and edit sounds. you can really make a sound gritty and mean with the distortion knob and even after that it has a character section with a drive knob and a descimation knob.

so far my only gripe (so far) is that it doesn't have an audio in. I guess it's time to start saving for a moog. I don't think I'd like the module version of this very much, especially with the touch strips and knobs missing

Hey Lamp and psr! I like Modelo suckas!!

I've checked out every youtube vid of the P12 (including the 30 minute demo ones), and it either seems too clean or too distorted with nothing 'creamy' in the middle.

I've heard some sounds that I like but I can't vibe off the general character of it.
