Big up on the quick replies guys :-D Just glad to know that it's not a specific issue with my 950

Yeah I figured this would be easiest work around and I'll just do this in future and just put up with the noise while actually putting beats together

Nice to see there's other peeps still getting down on the 950 too :smoker:

im with mastereez, i have v 1.2 and a filter, but no control of it.

Will try and load o.s 4 tonight and see if it works.

What i can say though, if the filter aint quite cutting it, half your bandwidth, will reduce the high end :)

machine will tell you when to stop too haha

Thanks Clint, you reminded me about the filter thing :)

Got O.S. 4.0 (s900) working. no low pass filter (or timestretch)

Will take some detailed pics of the screens on loadup to help give an idea.

been mad lazy lately.....

i also believe that symbol (talked about earlier) is the result of sampling into the s900 with OS 4.0, or your newly created crossfade sample.

Hi everyone.
sigh, it's annoying I had to sign up, but I have to get this out there cause I can't stand people spreading false info

marrelarre wrote:yes its normal, mine does it aswell.
Its just how old school digital filters work i guess (yes the s950 isnt analog like some claim)

sorry but to correct you the filter IS analog, but it's digitally controlled or something. (yes I know it says VCF) it's a hybrid but the filter its self is analog it's been proven over and over again.

the s950 does in fact have an analog/digital hybrid filter chip installed, the part is MF6CN-50, as stated in the service manual parts list.

from what i can tell, it appears to be an analog filter that can be controlled with a digital clock.

heres a link to the S950 service manual as well as the part. you can find the part in the parts list, top right, 3rd part down.
