Card Reader....MPC2000XL?

Hello everyone, I need a better way of saving samples and beats on my mpc2000xl. I currently have a built in floppy drive and external SCSI Zip drive. I've had the Zip drive for a long time and recently I've been getting a lot of disc errors when loading or saving to my zip.

I've been looking around in the forums and been seeing a lot of talk about installing a card reader. Is this an actual better solution? I do not want to give up my mpc for a newer model or anything like that I just want to be able to save on it.

What card reader models do you guys recommend that's cheap? Looking to buy one soon from eBay or something. Also, what else would I need to buy to make this work.

Card reader > Zip.

Still keep multiple copies on different storage devices/media, in case the card fails, no storage device/media is immune from failure.
