how do i chope a sample up to make it assign to all 16 pads on my 4000, plese give me a detailed answer

goto sample pg, select sample, make regions, adjust the individual slicepoints, divide and automap to program

Or...you can connect your MPC 4000 via USB to your PC..and use Aksys software. In that program, use a program like Recycle as your sample editor. You will be able to chop your samples and assign the chop samples to pads very easily.

Nice work Jah how is that Wavelab program I have Peak mostly on a Mac.

I just got it this past weekend. Users of Steinberg products get about a $200 discount, so I couldn't pass it up (although they didn't verify if I own a Steinberg product). I spent the weekend trying to get my Mackie Control to work with it. I am not really satisfied with the control surface support.

Anyway...the manual is a novel. Almost as thick as Nuendo's manual. I just did some basic recording and didn't get too deep into all the functions. I will dwelve more into it this week as well as put together a My Space Page.

Back to the 4000 :)

Why does that scrolling in a sample take forever ?
I want to chop up a sample and start at 0 and want to move the end value a lot closer to the start, it takes forever with the encoder.

I did zoom out and that makes a difference but still it takes a long time.

What am i missing ?

Shift + left and right cursor increases or decreases the increments.
