Im a mpc renaissance user and i only have been using it for
2 months and have learned alot in this short time.
what i want to know is if it is possible to "slide" or "bend" 808s and various samples while producing. i have been using FL studio prior to owning so that was a neat trick it had and if the mpc doesnt have it then could we possibly add it in a future update??

I think it depends on what is generating the sounds in MPC Software, it is a function of the instrument, not the sequencer.

I don't think that the built-in MPC drum/keygroup sampler has a glide function, but the MPC Expansions, such as The Bank/The Wub/The Noise, do have a glide parameter.

Is that glide function what you want?

It would be available in some other non-MPC instrument plugins as well.

There is no portamento or legato in the Ren yet so the answer is no.

There's not even a pitch bend control function/parameter within the Ren where you can create a 'false' slide.

So the answer is no you can't do slides within the Ren.

If Akai can implement a similar sampler engine to their previous flagship samplers then you can do this without breaking a sweat.

Why not just run FL as a VST in Ren to do that Part. Or just do that part in FL and import it into Ren?

You could open the Ren within Fruity Loops (as a VST) and combine the two that way?

I do this with Cubase when I have to add vocals or long/edited audio tracks.

That is possible and i may attempt that but the mpc jus has that "feel" i have grown to LOVE over the past few months and FL studio is just a harsh quantizing engine that i cant cope with anymore.i wont die without that function just was curios if anyone knew if it was possible but again hopefully they add it in a future update..any word on the next update guys??

Are you serious fam? I can't believe that there is NO pitch bend in the MPC software. How the hell do any of the plug-ins work?

I think he was saying its no "true" parameter for it if i use vsts especially lead synths i can pitch bend and also mod. Jus dont think you can use it with keygroups

...and do the glide/slide/portamento that you want to do, like in FL, if the VSTi does it.

:Sigh: Really? All of the Q-link knobs, a dialogue drop down box, with "tuning" in "realtime", while assigning it to specific pads and you say there no bending capability? Bro, I've been killing it... Hell, I'm bending samples!
