Make up for my MPC-4000

Guys,

I feel the need to clean up my MPC cosmetically. I like to get sum wooden sides and front or make it myself, also the top cover needs some work. It has scratches and user marks. Can I order a complete top cover, or can I send it for a paint job? (Im in Holland). Since I know this will be my final machine, I like to personolize it to feel even better sitting in front of it.

Any tips on this? I've seen many nice top cover mods but I'm in Holland and dont like to miss the cover to long. Anyone painted themselves?

i think mpcstuff.com might have 4000 cases, or you could send it to ghost in mpc to get it customized. it will cost a bit though.

There's a good tutorial by Glewfactory in the Customisation sub forum that shows how to screenprint the letters back on, but all in all I'd say send the case off to a specialist and pay the money to get it done properly. Not sure if there's any in Holland, but GhostinMPC (Japan) is highly recommended and reasonably priced considering the quality of the work.

I was looking to get the thick pads myself, anyone got a used pair they want to get rid of? I really don't want to pay the 45... I'd like 25

Corks too, but I feel like those ya gotta buy new... unless someone has ones they just decided not to use... Actually while im on about it... DO you guys suggest the Corks over the Glue thing or whatever fix? Im on a 4k! to be clear.

are you so feeble minded that the color of your machine effects your performance?

Mind you, not everybody agrees on the Fat pads in terms of an actual improvement.
It looks cool but i am not sure if i would upgrade considering the mixed reviews from users on this forum.

As for customisation, there are some fine examples that simply look killer, but the pricing on custom jobs easily pays for another 4K and for me that's just too much.
I would simply remove the faceplate, sandblast it, give it a base color depending of the final faceplate decal, apply the colored faceplate, apply fresh colored pads and play around with fresh (colored) buttons.

This way you'll invest around $200-250 in total which is fair imo.

**** the fat pads, I dont see any downsides on the originals. This is minor shit. And the money, I don't really care what it cost man. If it makes me feel better, who cares what pricetag comes with that? I know some people have more or less than the other but I think everyone can decide this for themselves.
