MPC 3000 - recording velocity afterwards

Hi!

Is there a way to set the velocity of notes in a sequence afterwards by using the note var slider or a midi controller?

if not, i just cannot understand why such an essential function for composition is missing. i mean setting note duration afterwards by the note var slider is possible but velocity not or what?

You can adjust velocity in step edit. Did you know that?

i know but its much harder for many notes to get the type of fade in or fade out your searchin for to type it in,

The Velocity% field (Vel%:100 in the example screen): This is an overall output volume control for active track. However, unlike a normal volume control, this function actually scales the velocities of all notes that play from the track in real time, acting as a real-time dynamics control. The range is from 0 to 200%. Values from 0 to 99 reduce velocities; values from 101 to 200 increase them. Select 100 for no effect.

to adjust velocity of recorded notes in a track but it can't be automated this way..

Really? Can you tell me how please? Or maybe did you mean "decay" instead of duration?
