InspectahEX wrote:what THEY REALLY NEED is a Copy Sequence Settings, thats it, it would copy just your sequence settings to another sequence. So you could either copy a sequence, or just choose to copy sequence settings which will carry over all your tracks volumes, fx, etc but without the midi notes and such

If I understood you right, after I'd change volume on SEQ 1 TRK 1, I'd have to copy sequence setting to SEQ 2 manually? Not very effective.

They should make a linear mixer an option and let us choose if we want the mixer to work like it does now, or linear.

I like the sequence grouping idea. maybe make a link with previous button and make it able to be turned off or on per sequence. I'd hate to have it be global, because it would break down if you were working on two different beats at the same time. maybe it should default to on, and it could remember the last sequence's setting or the like.

1. Exactly!

2. This is exactly why I thought of making them groupable, because I know a lot of dudes still work in a way where they have completely different beats on different sequences! I personally only keep one beat on a project, mainly for organizational purposes and reducing the risk of multiple beats lost due to a corrupt file. So Linear would work fine for me. But I'd be just as happy with the Sequence Groups as well.

I still like the Linear idea the best, also the Master one would be good as well though. I guess I'm still trying to keep the coding side of it in mind and using whats already there to keep things from being more convoluted than they already are. The Linear idea is good but we already know from the mouth of Pete that this just doesn't work due to some coding multiplication issues that would eat your processor for breakfast.

Any way we could add the Submix insert, metering, and count increase as another option?

Actually after thinking about it, the grouping option would work best for my workflow. IMO, one of the MPC's best attributes has been the ability to make different beats per sequence. I'd hate for that workflow to have to change just to accommodate the mixer. I dread the thought of only being able to make one beat per session. As long as the grouping is fast I'm all for it. Copy Sequence Mixer settings makes a lot of sense.
