uk power cable and some other small questions...

anyone let me know where I can buy one from or what I should be looking for?.

Are you in the UK, the US, or somewhere else?

You probably need an IEC C13/C14 power cable, which is the type of connector on the back of the MPC1000 and a lot of gear/computers, with this plug on the other end...

Another question too since its been a while since my last mpc....

How do you start a new file again, because I remember last time I had my old MPC it loaded up all these sequences. I know you have to stop automatically loading them from boot up but how would you start for example new file and delete all seq, pgm etc?

Plus 128mb ram is that the max?

You might be able to delete all programs, delete all songs, then purge all unused samples? Not sure if that would leave anything behind.

Yeah but it always loads up with these preset songs, so I'm not sure how to start with a blank slate again.

Just turn off autoload - depends on your OS, in Akai OS:

LOAD
highlight 'Load from:MEMORY CARD'
WINDOW
Set Autoload to OFF.

In JJOS free, similar, but after highlighting 'Load from:MEMORY CARD', the A.LOAD button appears (F5).
