Battle Objectives:

Use both samples and blend together

Formulate your beat, Intro, verse, pre-chorus, bridge, verse, outro, etc

Must contain a stop n drop of some sort

Must also contain a 4 bar section with NO!! drums


Outside Drums and Bass ALLOWED

Scratching is ALLOWED

Synths are BANNED

Acapella's are BANNED, and so's your Mum !!

I hope I got that right and explained in with my dope ass picasso styled drawing

I think "stop and drop" just means bringing the beat to silence in any way (fading out, sudden stop etc.) ... and then bring it in heavily somewhere after the silent part, e.g. let some of your chops run alone for a while and then suddenly bring back the drums and bass at some point

Did some slight research, See that Grover Washington, JR. is part of the first sample... nice, I like his material.

Yeah Stop n drop is just bringing everything to a halt and then bring it back in again.
And when the 4 bar with no drums happens, try and use a part of either sample without drums.

The samples sound very compressed and limited. Quite distorted and harsh to my ears. Like a compressed mp3 would sound I guess. Ear-bleed.

Right !! Donald Byrd track is off the album Street Lady, that wav should be fine the other, I was stupid enough to use from a Maschine masters file,

I can only apologize for the quality wackness, as they (get ready for this) record off of vinyl then convert to nasty low quality mp3, then you have to turn these dam things back to wav, which makes it even worse, that Jimmy is what you have heard it's not processed it's ruined !!

Ivory !! can you play the super hero and put your cape on and set a link up, just doing my little-uns homework with her, and Oooh S.H.I.T I gotta sort the sausage stew out before I burn the dumplings!!!

And do not use stuff off of youtbe it's just as bad as what I put up.
