I heard Mavericks users have problems getting to run their Ren properly.

Purging your RAM removes files not addressed by any running applications, although I HIGHLY RECOMMEND saving all open projects / documents before performing it.

Dito, never had issues with sampling with sound flower, set buffer size the same as MPC Ren

My computer says it's using 3.9 GB of 4.0. Not sure how as I'm only running Google Chrome and Spotify.

I tried the purge command but my computer won't allow it for some reason.

Hell yeah. Spotifiy and browsers keep filling your RAM, since audio players and browsers need RAM to operate. By using them for longer and longer, your RAM gets filled with files you use, and gets cleared when rebooting (hence the suggestion to reboot before doing anything).

Try quitting the browser and Spotify and do try to perform the purge again.

Running stable so far in Windows 8.1 64bit. More vigorous testing coming this weekend.
