4000 os error???

I found a really good deal on a 4k. I've never owned one but I've owned the 1k 2kxl 2500. anyway, the guy says that the os has an error. is this common? is it a pain in the butt to fix? I can probably buy it for $300 but if it's a headache then I'm gonna pass.

Thats a red flag. Somethings probably wrong with it. Definitely test it, before you buy.

If it has the 8 output expansion or the adat expansion and the digital i/o then maybe it is worth it as a parts machine. $300 would be easily recoverable if it has those parts. Plus if the screen works fine that is worth a good amount too.

You definitely need more specific information if you can get it?

Mine was a potential 'write-off' when I bought it as the screen would only occasionally come on. It was looking like a faulty main board (essentially a bricked 4K), but thankfully I managed to get it fixed.
