Chopped Sample Clicks

Wuz good ma people, i have a question i cant really seem to find an answer to, so i've been chopping up samples and occasionally i run into a click sound at the end of each chop as i play my sequence. Sometimes its the tempo im running it under so it usually fixes the click sound when i fit it right, but right now, im trying to use a chopped sample and i dont want to use the tempo to fix it cause i like it where it stands, but i cant figure out how to stop that. I finally gave up and I've tried searching and i get empty results or it leads me to other topics that has nothing to do with the clicking noise. Can anyone direct me if possible to a fix or a work around? Does anyone have a solution that i may not be trying or coming across.. Any help would be great.. I know its probably something small but theres no fixing the clicks.. Thanks in advanced..

This, or adjust the attack after you've converted your chops into a program.

THe auto chop alogrithm on the MPC Software is known to be buggy in this aspect, so you do get clicks at the end of most regions. As this part of the software is licensed from Izotope (according to their press release), I'm not sure if this is going to be fixed any time soon.

Two solutions:

1) Fix the end point on each chop manually. I cover a very quick way of doing this in my book, but in a nutshell, it you have snap to zero selected you race through each zone and turn Q1 or the data wheel to reduce the end point by one zero crossing point and the click should disappear.

2) Chop the break and slice to program, select ALL pads in Prog Edit and adjust the decay (not attack as suggested above) of the AD envelope until the clicks are gone.

Option 1 gives you a click free 'standalone' sample, option 2 gives you a click free sample only within the current program. Just depends what you need.

I've noticed that every MPC (including the Ren software) since the 2500, and especially the 5000, adds a lot of digital clips at the ends of pads, even if there isn't sound present at the end of the pad. I never had this problem on the 2000XL. I'm saying even when you get your trim points lined up nicely, you use decay on the end of the sound, you're extra careful and all that, you still sometimes have to work annoyingly hard to get rid of a digital-sounding pop at the end of your sound. The same exact sound has no pop at the end on a 2000XL.

I honestly think it's a glitch, because sometimes on the 5000, the magic number of decay is almost always 59 to get rid of the pop, no matter how long or heavy the sound is. It's like some numerical b.s. Very annoying.
