Some of my 5000 or 2500 projects open and are replicated perfectly in the Ren software. Others have strange things going on. It reads all of the samples and where they are placed on pads within the programs, but the sequences can be all jumbled and crazy, out of tune, or just plain out of control. Or sometimes the sequences plays almost everything that should be in there, but it's all coming from one track, which isn't where the sounds should be.

I guess stuff like this is to be expected, but does anyone have any experiences/tips for improving the accuracy for the replication of 5000 or 2500 projects within the software? I should add that these are all wav files coming from CF cards that are saved on my computer. Thanks.

Are you using song mode? And if so, are all tracks in each sequence the same? For ex: sequence 1, track 1 has the same instrument / sound as sequence 2 / track 1, and so forth? If you've accidentally (or intentionally) mixed your tracks across sequences, the song won't be imported correctly. Maybe that's what you're seeing happen.

My 5000 drives everything, and I only use the mpc software for loading and exporting my 5000 projects to audio for daw mixing. It works just fine as long as you don't mix your tracks across sequences. I tend to be an organization freak on my projects, but I've overlooked tracks a couple times... The result was painful getting it sorted out. Lol.

I don't find the mpc software very intuitive, but for loading 5000 projects I've never had major issues. And it saves a ton of time over exporting from the 5000.

Thanks for the reply. I'm usually pretty organized with my tracks containing the same elements across sequences and songs, so I don't think that's the problem. It's weird. Some projects work and some just act crazy. This goes for 5000 projects and 2500. There's no common element I've found in the projects that act crazy vs the ones that work well. Again, the sounds and pad assignments are nearly always correct, but the sequences can be all over the map.

I agree that using the MPC software to get hardware MPC tracks to the DAWs faster may be the top feature of the whole deal. That is, when the project actually converts correctly.

It's the top feature for me right now, cause the mpc software doesn't really fit my workflow without a few more enhancements.

If you wish, pm me and I'll give u my email address. Send me a 5000 project that's having trouble and I'll try to load. Promise, no beat stealing. Lol. Just an offer to help.

I'm wondering if it could have anything to do with how pads are assigned in the mixer within the project on the 5000? Maybe using the 8-outs messes things up? I'm away from my 5000 for another week or so, so I can't check that yet.
