...you all don't have clean rooms....and though, in low price end of studio monitoring, and that's what we're talking here, it makes no sense to go for the most truthful resolution....

the better feeling counts way more here.....

the yamahas are the better tool.....
but the krks are tool enough and way more fun....

the biggest danger in semi mixes?

the too muddy low end.....

on the yamahas you'll find you pushing the low end because you think it's missing....
it needs lots of experience to find out you only think so.....

won't happen with krks.....

end of the day, as long your not treating your room at least a bit and spent some more bucks on your monitors, it's all a question of how do you feel while doin' it and how well you know your monitors in comparison to the status quo of the outside world....no matter which ones you choosed...

but take the more teasing ones, anyway.....

Seen 9th wonder advertising for the bx8s I think it was.. Of course he's gonna say they're great.. Getting payed like..

Nah, I'm not even into super low frequencies like I'd need it. And the HS7 low-end is just fine as it is, I was listening to a dubstep (the good stuff) and the lows were solid and clear.

I currently own them and I like them.Then again they were my first monitors and I had nothing to compare them to.

GUYS!!! OLD POST I KNOW! But I need help


I'm currently selling my headphones to buy a set of monitor speakers. (mid range?)
I'm also gonna invest in a sub at a later time (10").
I've got 3 choices at the same price.

THese are my options:

KRK RP 6 G3
PRESONUS ERIS E8 (Im thinking they might sound cheap as they are 8" at that price)
Yamaha HS7

What I would want from the speakers is crisp, crisp sound with a touch of kicking as the sub will come later.

I did a lot of A/B comparisons at guitar center a few months back when I was buying new monitors. I ended up with some JBL's because i thought they had the most clarity. Out of the models you mentioned I remember liking the Yamaha's the most.
