A brief walkthrough:

1. Start your DAW with the 01v96 as interface. Business as usual.

2. Start MPC Software separately, not as a plug-in.

3. Use a MIDI cable to connect the 01V's MIDI OUT to the Ren's MIDI IN.

4. Configure your DAW and the Ren accordingly to be able to sync (MTC vs. MC, MMC). Since this might be a bit tedious to explain in writing (since I do that much too often), I'd suggest using the tubes to get proper tutorials.


You'll be able to send MIDI data to the Ren like you did before (only via cable), although it needs different track types in your DAW. You can now use and connect the Ren's outputs to anything you like.
BUT: You won't be able to multi-output to different DAW tracks anymore, just the two stereo outs then. No virtual audio handling this way.

Have you tried creating a multi-output device? Not possible for inputs, unfortunately.
