The Ren's MPC Software has been updated approx every 3 months since its Sep 2012 release to include the most recent 1.6. This MPC has been better supported than any MPC to date to include numerous feature requests. More is coming to include some of the biggest user requests. Stay tuned.

Enjoy NAMM 2014........

Back to doing what I enjoy most these days...lurking and smiling. :smoker:

Not the same tho. You are talking Firmware in Hardware Vs. External Software. Firmware has its limitation depending on the Hardware circuitry being used whereas Software can be limitless and can be programmed to be used with and without the Hardware Ball and Chain its tide to. Therefore the more frequent updates in the Software can be done, but it doesn't disguise anything. The quality of the more frequent updates is what really counts. I understand that AKAI is working on its bugs, but the whole 3 month wait is ridiculous. They need a bigger team working on the software and they need to put out more frequent fixes, because when they fix something they break something else....so the people that had something fixed are happy, but the people that didn't have a problem are now screwed because they inherited a new problem from that fix. This makes no sense at all.
I couldn't resale this controller for half the price until they get their stuff right. SMH.

Alright! This is getting RE-GOT-DAMN-DICULOUS!!!

M-Audio MIDI Headphones vs Akai MIDI Headphones

61-key Axiom controller vs 61-key MPK controller

Their product line are the exact same rebranded nonsense. Both of these BIG announcements are horrible. Jack O'Donnell and inMusic have officially shit the bed when it comes to innovation in products.

I don't have time nor money for this Mickey Mouse bullshit!!!

We can only guess/hope there's better stuff coming.

Pete said about 1.6:
So this is a "little" update :-) "Only" some new features and bug fixes. There is some even "bigger" stuff coming down the line…

I'm hoping there's something Ren-related saved for NAMM…

NI is going to be selling the Maschine studio and 2.0 off the shelf after this NAMM show. Lol. Everyone is lurking to see if AKAI drops the bomb, but right now they only lighting firecrackers. SMH

I'm keeping my mouth closed until a couple more days into NAMM. Hoping there's more to the big announcement than a blinged-out MPK.

But have to at least chime in with this though... The wind controller... they really sell THAT many of those to actually launch a new flagship model? I'm out of touch clearly. And if I were them, they way they abandoned the MPC 5000, I wouldn't have reused that number.

Checking out for now... reserving my comments for a couple more days.

MPC **** headphones, a new product at NAMM 2014, W T F ? :hmmm: :hmmm: :hmmm:

That shit was a new product at NAMM 2013 as well!

The speakers, MPC Element, Essentials...new product...that has already been announced before NAMM?

Some possibly decent pads on the MPKs, to replace the shit that was on there...the big announcement?

What a bunch of clowns!

Wasting MPC development time to support this crap! :Sigh: :WTF:

Can Typo photoshop a clown nose onto Dan already?

Hmmmzzzz... If This is It....and idd Same products different name, what the Hell is that about??? Im kinda pissed off now....and idd JAH really not the Time for your corny ass remarks...and if this was the big announcement would should've excited us after being asked that 1.6 isn't a real update.... I like working with my ren, but, this attitude and, treating,us as **** kids with too much money to spend....dont know bout u...i though I invested in the future...guess I was wrong...really thinking bout NI but then again the ren won't sell, easy and then I still haven't got the cash for Ni studio plus I don't know the software, and then still no audio tracks, and, external synth recording support.... So I'm **** I ain't no DJ Kay who spends more time switching gear and unbox and reviewing that sh*t, than actually making music...would be nice tho"
Tommy tench u have both and actually makes beats with m.....(kinda same, style as mine) what do u recommend????

This is BAD!!!

It's like Akai was a cool ass homie you met in High School and he got strung out... (4k-5k Era)

Then he get into Rehab and tries to clean himself up. (Ren development and release, updates, etc.)

Now he just relapsed and smoked your TV (NAMM '14)

Akai is now just a smoked out carcass, slowly creeping into extinction.

So thankful it was not a new MPC....And MPC software 1.6 is solid on my machine no complaints....On with the beat making!
