They must have at least 10 different controllers that do the exact same thing, with slightly different cosmetics!

Once again Akai sticks the finger up at the buyers who want the MPC. Maschine won - its got better features anyway. The MPC is dead.

And again an Akai spokesperson has told a total lie to us, knowing full well it was a lie.

it "looks" sick, but can It do something my Mpk49 can't?? Or is it 600 dollar for looking nice in my setup??cuz I wanna be upgrading my set, not decorating it...

advanced music suite I hope it is what I was hoping for...akai version of propellerhead record...would be very welcome

I'm off buying reason 7 update for midi out, awesome mixer, and audio tracks..i was kinda hoping I could just manage with mpc software...
300 new features in 1.6....pffff...

I think it is their 'new' MPK controllers, and/or the set of software that comes with them.

I agree, what is the unique selling proposition for each of these three 61 key controllers? Why would someone buy the M-Audio one compared to the Akai or Alesis one other than the cosmetics? You have to assume that internally they are all pretty much the same components.

I can see there's obviously some differences in terms of 'knob count' etc (resist), but this seems complete overkill - are the target audience of the three 'brands' so different?

And those headphones - are they exactly the same as the ones they've already been selling for a year? This page on DV247 says it was created in Jan 2013

Actually, same with the M-Audio M3-8 speakers, these were announced at NAMM 2013 as well.
