Addition from Pete, regarding to the "big announcement" and the announced keyboards:

Not my projects! There *is* a load of awesome coming for MPC... The software elves are hard at work.
i'm *really* hoping that where we're going will make MANY people VERY happy.

So, there IS hope for Ren heads. Pete's always appeared very reasonable (hasn't gone with the hype) as well as kept his word.

Whats even mindboggling is that most still believe in Akai in 2014.

They kicked them selves in the balls. Didn't gave a shit about the BIG
announcement. I knew it was bogus. Whats mindboggling that they don't even believe in themselves. InMusic :Sigh: :WTF: :fku:

If you feel NI has a better product..pay the $999 and see for yourself. That will reduce bitching here and add more bitching to the NI site. Lol

As Pete indicated above, more work is being done on the software. Big things are coming. Some of you complain about updates breaking other functions...then complain when Akai takes 3 months to ensure the software is as stable as possible.

If you are an MPC Ren/Studio user...rest assured your feedback is being heard.

Hey guys! what was the big announcement? I haven't been on the internet all day and can't find anything

***lmaoooo never mind forget it... keyboard controllers!!!! wow just as bad as i expected, no word on the Ren or anything? lmao goodbye Ren, hello used 4000, 2500, mv8800, or maschine studio. What a shame this software is so under developed, I don't think I have another year and a half to wait around for akai to get off their ass

The big announcement was that Akai just saved a ton of money on car insurance. :)

Actually, it was just a bunch of new midi controllers.

What a joke this company is, I'll probably never buy an (new) akai product again, as soon as I get the chance this thing's going on CL. Can't believe the lack of attention and updates to this product, its just terrible, how the hell is akai NOT bankrupt? How can they show their face to the public after screwing up a product that u would think is impossible to screw up. What a waste of $1200, my old ass mpc2500, fantom x, fantom g, maschine mk1 worked 100x better than this piece of crap ever did. All the Ren is is a blingy looking controller with a sorry ass pathetic skeleton of a software. If I go the software route again I will make sure to choose a company that stays up to date with technologies, OS's, and communicates or at least tries to, with their customers. Akai fails in almost every aspect with the Ren.

While I am not in the market for a keyboard controller....the fact that MPC Element comes with the keyboard peaks my curiosity. This could mean using this keyboard controller with the MPC Software instead of or with the Ren/Studio software.

There have been plenty of photoshopped keyboard controllers in this forum that look similar to these new MPKs.
