Chopping on the 4000

Does mpc4000 have Non destructive chopping?? How is the chopping section on the 4000, whats the max slices per pgm? and can i chop by threshold, region, and also split and combine slices?? If so I might be sold on a 4000, the rest of the specs are amazing

No NDC on the 4k... Definitely not the end of the world but other features may make up for it.

Trim/Chop mode is the kitty's titties because you can chop all the way down to the sample level using your eyes or ears.

You can't chop by threshold. But the region chop can create up to 32 slices for one program with just a few button presses. Splitting slices is simple as well, combining them is a task.

Now hear is the kicker, at least for me... If you have Recycle, which CAN threshold chop, slice, and dice, you can export all of your chops and cuts to an .akp with an attached sequenced MIDI file.

Oh, almost forgot, 96 slices per program, if you need to make that many...
