Sorry I just don't see any real serious producers backing the Ren. I can't imagine them doing so in its current state. Thats what I meant. I mean if you are a hobbyist with your music and you don't mind certain things then the Ren is probably awesome for you.

I voted NO

i started with fl, then reasons, then i stepped into the MPC world with the 500, then i upgraded to the 5k, sold that when i tried out maschine, when the ren/studio dropped i was in love just with the look of the hardware and software over the machine + the seq (maschine's) sucks A**!!! only thing i need is the global mixer which i pray in the new feature hellfire pointed out. but if i didn't have the studio all ready i would def get a midi controller over the ren/studio. well i wouldn't say the only thing but the ren/studio should hav had what all the hardware MPCs had all in one then you have the best MPC ever imo

How did I insult anyone??? I told the dude multiple times I understand his view and his opinion is fair

Bro I'm unhappy with the Ren, deal with it, this is a public forum

and by the way, THERE IS a difference between hobbyist and professional. If you look at that word usage as insulting maybe you fall in that category and are insecure because of it. Don't know how u would see that as an insult unless you felt you were on the receiving end of any disrespect.

If i replace the Ren with other gears i want good stuffs. A drum machine like i want (either tempest, or elektron analog rytm, or new Roland Aira TR) are going for twice the price of a Ren...

Um ok, but the Ren is not even in the same category as those products. I'm sure whatever simple things your using the Ren for works... but for us guys that get down and dirty and want to use the Ren like a flagship mpcs to it's fullest potential we got screwed out of our money. Hey if you're happy with it, and you get along find with the bugs and the basic ass features then thats great, power to you! I don't think the Ren is really appealing to professional producers or aspiring for that matter. Seems all the simple bedroom hobby producers are satisfied, what a surprise.

oh man .... fvck this condescending bullshit

 x a million

Dude, you really have a bone to pick don't you?! Before you think I'm coming at you wrong, I am NOT about to defend the bullshit that Akai pulled with the Ren. I just find it quite pitiful for you to insult people that DON'T share your VERY STRONG OPINION.

I don't have or use a Ren/Studio, I have used it a few times (borrowed from a friend). I was able to accomplish a nice bit of work without too many issues. We all know for a FACT that the Ren needs some SERIOUS work and polish to keep up with some of the more innovated products, but damn, it's not completely useless. It's definitely not a magic pill for making soul-crushingly good tracks. No device is...

It's been said once and I'll say it again: It's NOT WHAT YOU USE, it's HOW YOU USE IT!

For the record, I can make a DOPE BEAT by beat-boxing into a 4-track...

Peace to the gods.

I see. So you're thinking you're too good for the Ren ? Have you ever thought the reason why you can't pull a good beat from it is because you actually suck ?

NOPE! I didn't take offense in any way... I will tell you THIS. I am NOT a Bedroom, Hobby Producer. My resume looks like a phonebook!

I do have a problem with you going off littering THIS forum with thread after thread of your pissing and moaning. It's getting old REALLY quick!

I understand you are upset... a lot of people share your opinion as well. I just think you have the barrel pointed in the wrong direction by letting it all out here.

YOU ARE ENTITLED TO YOUR OPINION... as I am to mine but...
You know what they say about opinions...
"They're just like assholes...everybody has one... AND THEY ALL STINK!!!

I think the best thing you could have done was ditch the Ren when you first got it and was threatening to punch every Akai employee in the face!

Seriously though, get it flipped and invest in an MV or 4K and you'll be back in business. 8)
