disagreement has already been agreed upon, I wasn't even going to respond to you except I wanted to clear up I was changing my words, not trying to insult anyone, I'm a christian :-D

Some people might think I'm "littering" the forum, almost going on a rant so to say with some of my threads, but I personally feel if I want to get something done, if we want change, we have to be determined, consistent, and keep punching our opinion on a public forum and keep letting Akai know how we feel.

if you only knew how many emails, tweets, letters and crap I've written to Akai and akai employees over the past year n a half about this product

No, I'm fine with it. Works neatly, does what it's told. It's a wee bit buggy but less anoying with it than any other sequencer or DAW. Just the playground I always needed. ;)

Hey InspectahX
The problem I see here is that you ask a question on the poll thinking everybody in this forum was going to agree with you, and the time some of us start saying the contrary you just start saying like we are not as "pros"(not that I loose my sleep for that as I am not a PRO, but do some serious work on it IMO) as you are because we can go with this machine and you seem to be unable to work wth it at it's actual flaws (what is completely understandable, eventhough I don't share). And that makes people to feel offended.

Yeah I understand now, didn't mean to come off that way.

Everyone's opinion interests me even if it's not in agreement with my own. You are correct in saying I thought people would agree with me, but since I see people voted the other option I guess I am trying to find out why, maybe Im impatient with the Ren and don't understand how people can still have faith in it, maybe I need some of that faith along with patience and then maybe the Ren will feel worth the purchase but I'm losing faith. Just seems like a long time for them still not to have fixed/added certain things requested since the beginning.

Well.. I don't own either a Ren/Studio,
but sometimes it's not good to be a fan boy. I am not saying all MPC users are fan boys, it's just that if you are, it will get in the way of making the proper decision

it's like cheering for a sucky sports team hoping they will make playoffs.. in reality, they are really terrible

if I was a Renaissance owner I would definitely return it and get my full refund, because those of you that are missing key features, pretty much spent allot of money for something that is not worth the full value

and think about those times you haven't touched the Renaissance because your waiting on those features.. in the mean time you could have benn more productive on something different for your beats..

I like both Akai and N.I.. and I here people say Maschine sequencing sucks and scenes, groups etc.. hey maaan... the amount of support they have from people and musicians.. I would make sure I learn to like that thing lol

So I vote YES

Right now the good out ways the bad so I voted no. Let's be reminded that some of the current features came from the suggestions in this forum. (Double Tap, Auto Save). So let's keep the request going. AUDIO TRACKS.

Everyone uses their equipment differently, has different workflows to each other, and different requirements for what they need the software to do.

Some might find it works perfectly well for their own needs, within their own workflow, while others might find it doesn't do what they need, or any workaround that they might need to use to achieve what they want might kill their workflow too much.

Just because one person can use it for what they need, and another feels they can't, that does not make the first person any less pro, it is just a personal decision based on different needs, different workflows, different levels of acceptance of any flaws/problems if they encounter them.

One person might encounter problems, that they feel will never be fixed, and another person might feel that the problems they encounter can be worked around, and that they can wait for them to be fixed.

I mean.. I saw an image of Q-Tip with Kendrick in his studio, and he had the Renaissance there
but I agree, there isn't enough producers backing the Ren, not nearly as much as N.I Maschine anyway..

one or two is'nt enough..

9th on maschine, Khrysis, ski beatz, m-phazes.. the list goes on, and I am not talking about posing with it or those MPC Ren videos where Alchemist is at the beach with his studio lol.. , these guys actually use the thing

The hardware is okay (speaking for the renaissance) could be better but its nice, that the software fails to incorporate all of its outputs, and the lack of a lot of needed functions...does not make it worthless all of a sudden...i like working on it, no I love working on it...and akai knows that....thats the problem,i think, i hate the way they treat their customers, their customer service, their slow speed of innovation, the overhype etc. But the machine it self, naaah I like...does not make me less of a beat maker...and yes I share the fear of them abandon software but naaaah it will be alright...but I share the big f*ck,you and middle finger to whoever is in charge... :fku: but I still like working with my ren...and thank god it is software based so not just the hardware has a lot of potential left, also the software, I would even pay extra bucks for the features I want....
but this topic???
would make Joseph Goebbels proud :smoker:
but then again it compensates for al those naive fanboy topics and replies...

Voted No. Have a 60MK1, 2kXL, 5k, Ren and Studio. The software is ruff but all
MPC have their pluses and negatives. Dropping tracks since 88 for hobby. The love of it. And besides the 2kXL last update was what 1.2. Look at the tracks produced with it...... Not what you have. But how you utilize
