v1.6 bug reports

Keep saving after every addition my friends.
Using 1.6 with Ren + mac mini. No crash yet using the studio.

Happens with me also, I'm on mac, maverick

samples weren't alphabetical in prog edit sample layers 1/2/3/4, i think it was abc order on the list to the right though

my samples list in the order i load them mpc studio macbook pro 10.8.5

This happened to me with the 1.5 update. Go to prefs and make sure the bit depth is not blank. For some reason after the update it wipes out the setting and it's blank. I also lost hours of work, twice.

More specifically, it was only samples that I created. All factory sounds were still in the project.

Well I've never had any crashes with 1.5

Been using the list editor and having some crashing...
In standalone mode.
I have 2 pgms loaded..
each on seperate tracks..
Really simple events like one event for every 4 bars...
Loop mode is off..
Randomly crashes when entering list mode from main screen... (via holding shift and double tapping) When sequence is not playing.


running osx 10.7.5 dual i7 core 8gb ram..

Shit because it's random... anyone getting crashes from list mode?

When trying to assign an effect in the qlink page to a qlink that has been inserted on track , the data wheel doesn't work to assign the effect, but data + and - buttons work.

Although you can see it on the hardware, the change doesn't actually happen on the software..

It only does the change via software/mouse..

Legato applies to all midi notes on the track – not just selected ones? :-/

I'm trying to apply legato to only pad A01 but it's always applied to all pads?

Not sure of this is a bug but up until 1.6 I was using the 32 bit version of MPC Ren within Win 7 Ultimate and my crashes were minimal. Since the arrival of 1.6 the 32 bit version has become prone to crashing from quite simple things like changing samples or just changing a page/mode.

I'll have to use the 64 bit version permanently now but will lose out on quite a few plug ins that haven't made that 64 bit leap yet

Wether this is a bug or not I don't know but up until 1.6 the 32bit version worked fine within Win 7 64bit and that is certainly not thee case now.

I could add 1000 bugs to this thread easily but one that still comes to mind... 1.0-1.6

the software still can't sort samples alphabetically!!!!

having a major issue with the song position...if i jump around through the song, the sequencer freezes for up to a minute or more, then just comes back on...the play button stays engaged during this process...wtf...

Do you have a lot of plug ins running? Are you on Maverick? Could be multiple things

alot of plugins? not really, maybe 5 vst inst and some waves stuff...no automation yet either...say 24 tracks of stuff....was fine till update, may go back to 1.5...what a pain seriously messin up my workflow..;-/

Sometimes when I change tracks from the hardware it doesn't match the tracks on the screen. The Pgm: parameter changes but Trk: stays the same.
