As i predicted weeks ago

i also predicted some beta demo type O.S. during NAMM too, where they will show some imminent stuff, in a very controlled envrionment so it doesnt crash.
please dont expect quality beats from Daniel...
i look forward to some funny claims from Andrew on his sugar rush sales pitch

if only someone would interview them at Namm about how theyve let down their fanboy base continually over the last 2 years .....i doubt that will be saint jo as anyone who asks awkard questions will never get an interview again

what i dont get is all the continual hype but very little substance - all it does is make them looose credibility more and more.

if we go back to 2012:

...The newest MPC (sic REN) will transcend genres and become a staple in any studio, for any musician....we’ll be releasing MPC Studio, MPC Fly, and we have some aces up our sleeves that I can’t talk about yet – but trust me, it will be BIG.

2 years of imminent, trust me it will be big, youre gonna love the next update, most updated mpc ever
:fku: :fku:

Maybe Pete should spend more time developing rather than tweeting false hopes.

 I haven't even updated to 1.6 yet because of some of the bugs mentioned in the bug thread. I was about to update, the I said "hold up, let check the imminent bugs".

Wow, chocked to the brim with marketing cliches and long sentences that don't really mean anything.

We don’t believe in “product road maps” because as a business, we need to be nimble and responsive.

The culture of the brand is “work hard play hard”.

However, we at Akai Pro believe that musicians are capable of more when they enabled and empowered by the right tools. Our gear is meant to capture your ideas quickly and easily, and then inspire you to create something you never thought was possible. We want every artist, producer, and sound designer, whether you’re in a multi-million dollar studio or in your bedroom, to be able to create the next level, things we’ve never heard or imagined.

This is the very heart of the matter.

My prediction is that the next update is going to allow their new line of keyboards to work with the software. That would explain the 16 multicolored pads. But IDK... That's not really revolutionary.

The new keyboards already work with, and come with, MPC Essentials, the lite version of MPC Software.

My prediction is that the next update will have a feature or two that I will like.

Yeah, just now read about that. Haven't really been paying much attention to all of it. I feel like it's a waste of time for the most part, considering numerous past disappointments.

Akai, get your shit together for real. Work on what we've already got, please.

People didn't buy enough of them.. That's why.. There wasn't enough profit made on the machines to continue development.. But that's the catch there.. You need to make sure the product is good for the market, and have the after sales support to keep the word of mouth about it positive, otherwise it doesn't sell..

After, watching NAMM it is obvious to me that all the vendors there are finding it hard to keep up with the way music production is done. Akai is no different in this area. I believe my REN is nice, but with software updates always around the corner. We may be looking for the next best update verse creating with what we have. My Ren was not right until 1.3, but I will not be waiting for the next update again. I wish my Ren had *******(fill in the blank), but it does not. I will figure a way around it and move forward. Do I have request, yes. Am I mad, no.

I am not a fan of NI let me make that clear, first. I believe Akai had there **** handed to them with the release of NI Machine Studio release.

Now that is out of the way, most MPC users like the small screen. I don't know why, maybe it's a focus thing. I rather not use the mouse at all, either. I understand I will have to use the mouse with external plugins which is fine. I understand that.

I would like to see Akai offer 2 operating modes: Full DAW mode and Mini MPC mode.

1. DAW will be what you see now

2. Mini MPC mode will be a small MPC screen on your monitor that will look and react like your small MPC screen, but on the lower part of your monitor with up to 3 screens.

You may be saying what *&^*. This would allow you to reduce you screen focus and when your screen goes out you do not have get a new one (I am still trying to find a MPC5K screen). After, seeing the Machine I believe by adding this mode it would be the quickest fix to the competition. I picture MPC mode being a way to have up to 3 MPC size screens on the monitor and still operate your DAW (optional) on the same screen without overlapping. Now, the MPC can be used with a DAW on one monitor. This idea really starts to look nice with Windows touch screen. You have 3 MPC size windowns lined up at the bottom of your screen and you touch the one you want the MPC to start controlling (Main, Program edit and track edit. You touch program edit and start using your MPC to make the changes). I believe this would make the MPC an awesome next generation machine.

You can do, with this, what you will, but I believe this should not be overlooked.

Last, but not as fancy, please offer a way for me to see the properties of my Project. I create 20 plus sequences in the MPC. I turn on my DAW to create the Audio track and the MPC plugin takes on the DAWs tempo. This carries over to sequences created in that project. It makes sense and all DAWs do it. Please, consider making a text file in the saved Projects folder. That shows the tempo, bars and Sequence name. It could be a right click for each sequence that tells me this or a text file I open. I wanted to a create screenshot of the Next Sequence screen because it has the information. The problem was a tempo of 135.78 shows as 135..... because columns cannot be adjusted.

Thank you,
Creating and Motivating
