Same here. The price is keeping me away and it's iOS7 Only! It got a lot of praises in the App Store comments though.

I bought it last night. It is very, very, very nice! Typical Korg app. with incredible sounds, slick interface and incredible bang for the buck. 15 high quality instruments for $30US.

I was surprised that it ran well even on my Ipad 2. I read some posts that indicated that it runs better on the Ipad Air (up to 26 instruments at one time) but I was able to run 6 at one time without even utilizing the track freeze function. I created a track with 6 instruments then exported a .wav file to Dropbox with no problems. Their is a latency /buffer selection in the main Ipad settings screen to make it run better. It is also recommended that you turn on airplane mode for even better performance.

The only drawback with the app. is that it currently does not have Audiobus or IAA, but Korg says that will be added quickly. Apparently they were rushing to get it released i time for NAMM. Well it payed off big time. Gadget is the toast of the IOS music world. It blows all of the similar apps away. Once Audiobus is added it will truly be the King. Korg also plans to add other modules and audio tracks soon!

How would you sample into an iPad?

I can get a deal close by for a non retina iPad mini, they are discontinued, will I run into any compatibility issues? are the charger ports the same as the new ones?

Pref one with audio and midi... I'm seeing a trend and shift towards the ipad especially in the dj realm .. (tracktor) utilizing the camera connection kit.. Wonder if akai will have another crack...

I dont really find making a whole beat on the ipad fun, whats more fun is the instrument specific actions/gestures from a multi touch interface.. Like garage band's smart string instruments.. It key switches articulations depending on your gestures.. Sampling that into a mpc or other sampler is great.. If/when they add pressure sensitivity to ios devices, things could get interesting..

It's always best to buy new, because apple are pretty diligent about fixing their prices.. Plus you get a 14 no questions asked return if you dont like it.(from the apple stores)

Gadget is really making me want an iPad. I'd be glued to that app 24/7.

nice, well i have beatmaker2 and a lot more apps on my iPhone, just the screens is way too small, beatmaker2 seems like a beast I'm sure I can lay something down from start to finish.

The new iPads seems to have 1gb, how much stuff running, or what does it take to make the iPad freeze up or slow down? No problems with multiple tracks of midi and audio?

Seems like music production on the iPad is def a solid option nowadays, not to mention just make beats anywhere with it. Awesome.

Hokusai might be an option you want to look into. I see you found twisted audio editior, how is that working for you? Does that do what your looking for very well?
