When setting a sequence to loop off in main mode.. then going into song mode
playing the arranged seq when i change back to main mode(while still playing seq) the loop is automatically set back to on..
I dont want this.. As i play live on pads and need the seq to play out but not loop...
Is this by design ?

Can I go back to 1.5 by installing over 1.6?
1.6 is extremely buggy.
I now get crashes as well as sessions not being saved.
Also, the hardware track names are not syncing with the software. Weird.
Who do I need to talk to at Akai about features?
Still can't name tracks and the Seq from the hardware. Sad

Patch Phrase
Sometimes when I convert a loop to patch phrase the entire loop doesn't play. Only the first region. This didn't happen in 1.5.

Dont know if this is a bug or maybe its my computer (macbook pro 2.93 ghz intel core 2 duo, 4 gb ddr3, os x 10.8.5)? But i dont think it is my computer
When i work on a track since 1.6, on a drumloop or something, the ren begins to scratch and to skip sometime. That wasn't at 1.5.
The same when i export a finished beat, i can hear the scratchy-sounds on the mp3-file. First i thought it was a grubby chopped sample but its on all my new programmed beats.
I love the ren and i like to work with it but i´m getting angry now cause i work on some important projects now and i cant finish them with those grubby sound.
p.s.: i also hate that running sequencer

You can turn the runny sequencer off. Click on the sequence a button in the top right corner

After some time into makin a beat I reaized the time shift settings in my T.C. were not being applied to all notes, seems like it was affecting "selected" notes but even if I selected them they would not shift. It's hard to explain but for example, I had my swing set to 52, and time shift was 16ppqn to the right, when I did this the first note in my sequence would not record and also the rest of the notes were being sequenced but not time shifted. Def some kind of bug in there with selected/all notes being affected by T.C.
Did not notice this till about an hour into making the beat, also had my sequence on 96ppq, mostly sample programs, a vst, and some plug in effects, not too much going on. Also I'm on maverick, I have been coming across little bugs like this on Maverick, not sure if its my OS or 1.6. Also this was using the software stand alone.

I get a "bluescreen" when I play live for 1-2 hours on Windows7, 64-bit, 3.0GHz, 4.0GB RAM since 1.6...
Edit: I am using an MPD26 with the Ren, could this be the same problem as http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=170876?

This is such and annoying bug, it gets me everytime.. when i load a folder of samples in to the ren then when i go through to select sounds in the layers tabs the samples appear all together from that folder so its easy to scroll through them but once you save the ren all of a sudden the samples are just randomly scattered all over so if ive loaded a few folders of drums it becomes very annoying and time consuming..
please fix this asap !

when in the track arrange screen and im arranging and copying tracks to make the song the curser jumps al over the place sometimes and the size of the magnifier goes bigger and either the curser goes to the begining or the end. its very annoying..
also when im moving the bar loop points in the track arrangement window sometimes it just looses the points and shoots to the begining...
this is on the mpc software in the computer and im running windows 7 74bit on pc.

Renaissance released from the odd internal error sound, listening to the sample, sampling or listening to the beat. Fault-recorded sound spoiled samples. Apparently, the sound is due to the electrical flow. I replaced the power transformer and power cord if it would stop now. At first I thought that the problem was that the sampling Focusrite Saffire FireWire interface through (The fault is not, therefore, been here) I now sampling SoundflowerBed internal computer to mpc-renaissance. Now the samples are decent and do not become unwanted noise and they are not ruined. Does anyone have the same problem? Or is it possibly a broken mpc?
The same is also here today, I fell to 1.6. 1.5 do not have this problem mac mavericks program. probably back to the 1.5 version as well.
1.6 version does not mpc from the samples, could not put the pad for example, a pad13, but I had to set the sample through a pad for the machine to make it even found. In addition, mixers does not always work correctly, even though the sample to the track and it will play there, not flash the sample up the track volume rates.
