Describes pretty much any company nowadays...

The majority of them yes. They are confused, they've got their priorities all messed up and don't know whats really important. There are good companies out there though, run by good people in it for the right reasons. Look at Waldorf, that company has always innovated and made unique instruments for the sake of making good instruments. They follow their hearts and have good intentions and it shows. Even when they failed a few years back, their true intentions were felt by enough people that they were bailed out by someone who believed in what those people did. They gave them an opportunity to keep bringing their love into the world with a little assistance on how to keep going in todays cutthroat marketplace. Do you think anybody would bail out AKAI because they believed in their vision? No they are bailed out to be gutted, stripped, and raped of every resource and good thing they had until they end up in the ground with nothing left but a bad taste in everyones mouth that has ever heard of them.

Could someone send me a link to Jack O Donnell's music..? oh yeah nevermind
This is what a douche bag looks like in the wild, avoid at all costs!

To the good people who do work at AKAI, get out! You are being used and your talents are going to waste, surround yourself with better people who have better intentions.

 at myself and my massive attack on Walmart..er AKAI... blue, red, I always get those 2 mixed up these days.

So yeah anybody want to buy my Ren? I'm such a good salesman

Bam bam on point!!!!! Bro waldorf elektron korg have vision believe in their products stay in thier lane and enhance it modernize it esp waldorf they should have really focused on this this should have been better than the 4000 with all of the capabilities to connect to and work within a daw and done ni created thier lane and succeed cuz they stuck to thier vision

The only message they will EVER get is one that hits them in the pockets. You want to send them a message????????

Stop buying their products. It's just that simple.

"One key feature that I have not seen mentioned is being able to input notes 1 at a time using the controller. On the 2KXL you could hold down the overdub button with the song stopped, press a pad which would then be recorded as an event, and the sequencer would automatically move along to the next step depending upon what your note setting was (1/8, 1/16, 1/32). Yeah sure I can just click the mouse and place notes where ever, but it's just not the same as using the controller. I'll upload a demonstration video this weekend if this needs further explanation. I've never seen this on the wishlist and that's my bread and butter."

Step Record is in 1.6
Open the List Ed by pressing shift Step Seq
Press just the Record button
Hit some pads
What do u see

then use locate <> to skip a division

Time Correct sets the resolution

Enjoy

Fanboys huh? Hardly

Nah, man. Bitchin just ain't my style.
I think Pete is doing a great job with the limited resources at his disposal, mainly no true beatmakers or true back-in-day MPC aficionados at AKAI/ In-Music or whatever. Not that there aren't a ton of legitimate complaints tho. Damn right the Ren/Studio software is lacking in functionality, no doubt was rushed to market and is missing some seriously basic bread and butter functionality compared to their new endeavor (at least on paper, we'll see) which I address in my "MPC Ren MIDI Functionality" thread (thnx for the reply btw). It just makes sense to me that when the head programmer stops by to check in, that he's more apt to respond to questions than complaints. However, I paid the same 1.3 stacks for the Ren as most everybody else and run into most of the same limitations as everybody else, I just keep it movin.

:hmmm: Besides that, just because an opinion differs from yours doesn't make them a fanboy or any other insulting name you can call them. While constructive criticism is awesome and needed the insults are not. That kind of opinion does nothing more than cause friction and not progress. As I mentioned before there are better ways to get your point across. That method is just an indirect way of forcing YOUR opinion onto someone else.

None the less many people AGREE (myself included)with you but just do not choose to insult people in the process.

I spent $1200 on my REN and expect more as well and have high hopes because I want my purchase to be worth the money I spent but at the same time I don't put anything past anyone. I think the path walked with the REN was unnecessary and they fell short by releasing it at the time that they did but now I must move on from finger pointing to "how are you going to make this better?". With that they are moving in the right direction but if the momentum is broken at any point THEY should expect some backlash...NOT the users who purchased. If they are content then GOOD for them.

Didn't mean to insult anyone my friend...well...maybe jah a few times...and you"re right, if I offended anyone my apologies. Then again that's just how I am, sometimes blunt(ed) but nuttin but love...and fanboys is more a tease then actually offending...but true I walk the fine line between criticism and insult....but its only fair to say akai walks the fine line of promises and slaps in the face....but to be clear I have love for everybody especially for those heads that like me love making music....and I am only critical and rude if I care....i don't waste time on hating and criticizing on stuff I don't care about...

I will even say with my hard earned investment in the renaissance I re-invented my self music-wise and I can't thank akai enough for that...
THANKS AKAI :worthy:
but also it was a lotta money for me. (unlike the ones in all akai videos, who besides probably got it for free) and I wanted a total package so audio tracks, and use of old gear. I can't keep buying stuff for the, features my ren lacks, and hardware wise its pretty much complete...and I feel dissed by promises delays lack of customer service, not feeling they put the effort in that they could and should...and it bugs me when people forget that stuff...so they keep doing it and keep getting away with it...and I am NOT buying new midi controllers or more software maybe only a decent payed update..
and I do think we could have applied a bit more pressure when an akai employee posts here.... But f*ck it, I'm a akai fanboy too, but I kinda feel raped by my hero  (a bit exaggerated, but see that's just how I interact :worthy: )

1 Love
