Do you think the VGA mod has anything to do with the MPC failing?

I know for a fact that it does not.

And how's da vga out for my empee 2000 classic? Ya old docta needs it really really quickly, cuz screen has some real problem with himself. Few lines only, rest is dead. Really would love to see sequences widescreen on 32'. Greetz

I don't think this project has been moving forward.
Personally, I would not care about VGA output. All I want is a new replacement LCD unit for MPC2000 series that last very long time, and without glitches and screen delays.
My 2000's LCD screen is still good, but I constantly worry about the screen, when I'm working on my MPC-2000XL.

Well we were referring to just the replacement screens so if they haven't shown up there's little chance of the VGA showing up.

We actually never got overly excited about the possibility of a VGA output we were happy at the availability to have a replacement screen for the 2k/2kxl if it failed.

That's pretty much why this thread was revived to say whatsup with the screens.

So is the idea of a new being available a lost cause at this point? My screen is still good, but I worry about the day I have to replace it.

I don't want to have to get a 2500. I love my 2k. It's all I need.

Just weird that there is no news. They could at least be like sorry, it didn't work out.

Would look like that, but way stretched, depending on the screen size.

For me is fine, but some people complain about it. I can't even think in the slightest bit why. Better then lines!

But I don't think that company is on it anymore

^^ I bet the wide screen computer monitors would make that display look more proportional. I forget if that VGA output was designed by Rohan or someone else. But it's always a loss when products like that go out of production. Speaking of which, I hope Envision don't fall off either. I'm holding on to my spare display, just incase I need it down the road.

they did fall off, like some crack head shit, i found em on Facebook and saw some wall post, they claimed the last guy they hired stole all their equipment and there is no hope…..what a let down!!
