Ensoniq ASR-10 help, for ASRonians.

Eps and Asr are alot closer (damn near the same) in os than 2k/2kxl and 4k. That's a bad example/comparison.

I was just wondering is for example trimming, discarding sample information is slower on the eps 16 than the asr 10?. However, it seems like they're similar that I wouldn't notice.

I'm trying to meet up with a guy in Chicago who has an asr10 with maxed ram but no scsi. no biggie if I just track it rt?

yeah scsi would be ideal to save and load stuff up, though if you get a cf card that be even better.

I bought the asr. is it possible to use my eps16 and asr together? like trigger samples on the eps from the asr while using the asr too?

I know that lamp but I meant using the art sampler and the eps sampler for drums. if I used the asr as master wouldn't I have to turn local off on the asr?

I'd like to have some info on Total Commander with the EnsoniqFS plugin. Are you guys aware of this things and do got it working on windows 7?:) I cant load the plugin it says I prolly miss "some" DLL's when I try to load it.

If any UKers have an asr 10 for sale let me know please.

Damm i have been wishing "Ensoniq MIDI/Disk Tools" for long time but i'm a bit scared to buy from this chickensys...their page reminds me of a prank

It's okay, you can buy it. But it indeed isnt a professional company. You don't have any other choice since he has "monopoly" on Ensoniq software. It's 2014.

But watch out, I think you should take this info carefully:

"Not only that, MIDI-Disk Tools gives you full disk control of your volumes - floppy or SCSI, Windows XP or Windows 98."

Don't expect it to work flawless on your new Windows 7 PC, or New hardware with XP installed. We are dealing with old stuff here with a very specific language. old hardware works the best!

Well I have a ton of sound libraries. (All 40+) But I cant get them on my Zips to load in my ASR-10 because all the software doesnt work properly on my new PC hardware. I just bought a old Windows 98 and Windows XP PC from a friend with a shop. Will configure them tonight, I need that Total Commander working it's awesome such a plugin exists.

I’m glad that Microsoft made a function to run programs like the other windows.

I actually also have SoundDiver 3.0, which has implemented Ensoniq ASR-10 editor, but I still haven’t get it working yet
