I swapped out the stock CD drive and installed a DVD drive (#UJDA770) on my MV8000. Now it can read and sample from my DVDs from Computer Music and Future Music magazines.
Roland has a PDF to help MPC users migrate over to the MV. If you know how to do something on an MPC, this booklet will tell you how to do it on the MV-8800.
