MPC1000 program question

Hi there,

I'm new here and I hope I'm posting in the right section.

I lost my mpc1000 (someone stole it) recently. I had everything backup at home on my computer (samples, prog, etc).

My question is this: Can I use the tracks that I've made and backed up on another mpc (hardware or software) and they will sync up and preform the exact same way as my mpc1000?

I cannot afford right now to buy another mpc1000, so if there's any cheap hardware or software out there that you know of that I can use to import my songs, please let me know

I currently have a Maschine and my DAW is Logic 9 (if that helps)

Would the Akai MPC Element work? Would it be able to read my old projects from my mpc1000 that I saved on my computer?

That sucks that someone ganked your mpc.

Not sure if the element will open a mpc prj and how well it would work because the element is only one track...
Also the mpc software/element doesn't translate %100 of thelegacy stuff.. Although its pretty good.. Depending on what you have going on in your sequences and pgms you'd have to do a bit of tweaking.. Here's a vid that may help but not sure with the element software..

Can Maschine not open your .PGM files?

Maschine will import PGMs, although I've discovered it doesn't handle velocity layers correctly. MPC project files are not supported at all.

MPC Elements doesn't support legacy MPC formats.

MPC Studio will do the trick. But for that money you could buy yourself a second hand MPC1000

yeah... i can only afford something close to 200 or 300 hundred right now

MPC 1000s on ebays are going for over 550 right now

and... i tried with maschine but it will only bring up the program but not the sequence, which in the end is what i need

if MPC Studio can do this, then I'll be somewhat able to afford this over a used mpc 1000
