400.. maybe 450.. the MCD isn't that impressive, those aren't hard to get and do youself.... the 8 outs is a nice feature... would be nice to have the fx card though.

I agree with the 400 to 450.

32mb RAM costs 10 bucks on Amazon.com so don't let that be a factor that influences anything.

Good LCD majorly important.

CF readers are like 30 bucks or something also.

So things for like 8-Outs, FX, SMTPE, all that.. Dang I don't know. It varies. Try to get the most you can within that range of 400-450.

yes, but don't leave your mpc on over night.... also, if the mpc has even 1 line or missing pixel then you will soon get more. The way it works is you wont get lines for a long time, but when the first one comes the rest come shortly after.

So yeah, it is said that every 2000 and 2000xl will get lines some day, but that is why you must not pay 700 dollars... get it cheap, if the screen dies you find another one for cheap and combines parts to make your xl new again.

Good sampler, can do what u want it to do, but I wouldn't pay anything for it nowadays.

Get a maschine! Unless u like tracking out, freezes, random crashes, and shyt effects...in that case invest in an mpc 2000.

^Thread I posted about possible prevention to keep the screen from heating up.

The line issue has already been touched on, so no need for me to get into that.

The 2500 will still have you that feel. It's just slimmer. But you can get the XL screen for it, which is cool.

Plus! If you really don't want to loose any feel

I hate that black look of the 2500. Makes it look like a toy, makes it look plastic. Seriously hated it. Then stumbled on this Classic XL Style Skin from MPC-STUFF and was pretty impressed!

Crazy as it sounds. If I bought a 2500, or when I do, that's the first thing happening to it.

That picture is actually pretty terrible. Here's a couple real photos I found of it.

Some sites are calling it a "RARE CLASSIC SKIN!" but it's not rare.

To complete it, buy stock replacement buttons for the 2000XL, and the knobs. Not sure if the buttons will fit, some maybe.

This one is from another company

If TYPO reads this, I'm pretty sure it'll become one  Good call, I didn't even notice that.

False :Sigh:

I think when he was typing the number 2 on the right keypad.. he pushed just below the number he meant to type.. it's the only explanation.
