5. on event list, i scroll through the events the piano roll scrolls with it only when in no scroll mode. when set to 'page'or 'scroll' mode the piano roll just jitters.

to duplicate this:

i make more than 4bar beat so the pianoroll screen should autoscroll as it plays.

i set the pianoroll screen to page mode(or scroll mode)

i go to event edit mode.

then i go through the event selections and my pianoroll screen wont autoscroll with it.

it autoscrolls properly if only i disable the autoscroll mode.

(im using osx mavericks. 2008 macbook core2duo 2.0 with 4gig ram)

When i work on a track since 1.6, on a drumloop or something, the ren begins to scratch and to skip sometime. That wasn't at 1.5.

The same when i export a finished beat, i can hear the scratchy-sounds on the mp3-file. First i thought it was a grubby chopped sample but its on all my new programmed beats.

I love the ren and i like to work with it but i´m getting angry now cause i work on some important projects now and i cant finish them with those grubby sound.

p.s.: i also hate that running sequencer

sample also had a crackling version 1.5 & 1.6 only got worse.
Renaissance released from the odd internal error sound, listening to the sample, sampling or listening to the beat. Fault-recorded sound spoiled samples. Apparently, the sound is due to the electrical flow. I replaced the power transformer and power cord if it would stop now. At first I thought that the problem was that the sampling Focusrite Saffire FireWire interface through (The fault is not, therefore, been here) I now sampling SoundflowerBed internal computer to mpc-renaissance. Now the samples are decent and do not become unwanted noise and they are not ruined. Does anyone have the same problem? Or is it possibly a broken mpc? :worthy:

I had similar problems while using Ren with laptop. This was 1.2 or 1.3 version. All the problems with crackling sound after 10-20 minutes of usage were gone when I disabled WLAN card from the computer. It was a PC laptop tho...

I can start a new project with version 1.6 on 32 bit, but I can't seem to load previous projects. This is what I get every single time I try to load a previous project:
(it works fine on 64bit)

"Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple."

The other thing: Plugins are rejected. A couple of plugins seem to get rejected as soon as I start a previous project in which some plugins are implemented. Both in 32 as 64 bit versions. (Trillian, MS20, B4 a.o.) Yes I know some plugins are not 64 bit compatible. But they crash in 32 bit.

Im on Mavericks by the way

That must be a REN-Bug cause i dont have the problem with Logic or with TraktorScratch.

-Playing around with THE BANK or THE WUB crashes the software too.

-I also cant listen to any internet-music anymore over the REN since 1.6. No youtube-diggin anymore :D.... I'm so looking forward to 1.7 and hope all that sh.t get fixed.

I had a weird "can't load project" issue recently. I had to drag all the samples from the samples folder and load it into a new project for it to work.

Luckily i was early on in the project so it didn't really matter.

ALSO, please DISABLE AUTOSAVE during sample recording! So many times it auto saves right after i finished recording a sample (before i can save it), causing me to lose the ability to save that particular sample and forcing me to re-record. super annoying.

This is intentional. The scroll modes actually were linked in the beginning but had to be separated due to other worse issues that popped up from them being linked. So they had to disable this. :(

Now for me was enough. That was a piece of shit 1.6, 1.5 back to the installation, everything had to first uninstall and install again. I replaced the transformers and extension cords & usb cable = no change in the sound of the crackling!

The device was still in warranty, so luckily I got it now, the warranty repair. Let's see what is wrong or is there any type of failure.

I thought surely go to maschine-mk2 if this type of defect can not be solved and it just goes on after repair.

It is strange that the akai will be new update again and again! Native New maschine 2.0 update pay 99 €, but I guess it is designed with time. They do not seem to be buggy like this

Does anyone else notices the fact that it doesnt make any difference if you record a sample in stereo, left or right. The sound stays the samen. You CAN'T record in mono (L or R)

Also, the process sample to mono in the sample edit tab does not work. I can't seem to either record or post process my samples to mono...

I'm not getting the results you are getting. Can you be more specific with what you are doing and what exactly is happening? Below you can see here a sample that I recorded with the sample mode set to the left channel. I have only a single channel waveform, which means the sample is mono.

Image

Here I made another recording in stereo. You can see that now I have a two channel waveform, meaning the sample is stereo.

And lastly, here is that same stereo sample above converted to mono using sample edit. Notice only a single channel waveform. Mono sample.

BUG, Mav OSX

When sequencer is in 96ppqn mode the T.C. settings are still applied as if the sequencer was in 960ppqn

for example: In 96ppq mode you have to dial in "30" to get a time shift of "3"
for example: In 96ppq mode you have to dial in a swing of "54%" to actually get a "52%"swing
